This session provides a deep dive into connecting SharePoint search to business applications via the Business Data Catalog and federation. We provide an end-to-end demo of configuring the Business Data Catalog and SharePoint search, from creating the application definition through customizing the look and feel of the search results and another end-to-end demo of using the federation features in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Microsoft Search Server 2008 to federate queries to the Microsoft SQL Server full text search service.
