Hotel Registration
Hotel reservations can be made during the registration process. Microsoft Tech·Ed Europe 2009 has arranged special discounted conference room rates which are only available through the Tech·Ed Europe 2009 hotel booking service. Please click here to view the list of conference hotels and room rates. The earlier you register and book your hotel, the more choice of negotiated hotels will be available to you.
Attendees who use the official Tech·Ed Europe 2009 Hotel Reservation service will also qualify for a Berlin transport pass valid for the duration of the event.
Windows Live™ ID
For your security, Microsoft Tech·Ed Europe 2009 registration uses Windows Live™ ID for authentication. Windows Live™ ID is the identity and authentication system provided by Windows Live™. Windows Live™ ID uses powerful online security technology and follows a comprehensive privacy policy to help protect your account information. You will be able to use your Windows Live™ ID to access other conference services such as CommNet. If you do not have a Windows Live™ ID account you will have an opportunity to create one during the registration process.
Group Manager Account
If you need to register multiple people, you can create a group manager account. This account allows you to register, modify and cancel the registrations that you create. You will need a Windows Live™ ID OR username and password in order to create a Group Manager account.
Please note: In order to participate fully in all conference services, attendees registered via Group Manager will need to associate a Windows Live™ ID account with their registration record OR username and password. Instructions will be sent automatically via email to all attendees registered via Group Manager.

Promotional Offer
This year, take advantage of preferred pricing for groups coming to Tech·Ed Europe 2009. Complimentary group codes are available once the the registration price offered on the website reaches the rate of €1,795, €1,895, or €1,995 (depending on the level discount you would like to qualify for). Please see below the group benefits available:
To qualify for the group booking, first have the 10, 15, or 20 members of your group complete and submit payment for their registrations on the website – use of a special code is not required. You may use the group manager tool to create these registrations on their behalf although this is not required. Qualifying registrations must have paid the required per ticket cost for that level. To obtain a code for your free tickets as a result of a large group booking please contact the Registration Office with the names of the 10, 15, or 20 registrants from your company who are registered at or above the qualifying rate for the promotion level desired. You will be supplied a registration code to register one, three, or five additional delegates at no cost, depending on the level of discount you qualify for.
- A Group Registration can only be made for a single company address in a single country.
- Where a cancellation is made, an administration fee of €125.00 + 19% VAT will be made for each paid member of the group that cancels their registration.
- In the event that a Group Registration discount has been awarded and one or more registrations are subsequently cancelled, you may no longer be entitled to your discounted rate. In such cases the refunded registration fee will be paid net of the group's revised discount plus cancellation fees.
- Should the cancellation of a Group Registration member be made after 23:59 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) on Friday 23 October, 2009 no refund will be payable.
- Group Registration discounts cannot be awarded in association with any other discount and are not open to any registrations made by Microsoft Staff.
Registration for sponsors and exhibitors
All confirmed exhibitor and sponsor companies will receive special RSVP codes to redeem their complimentary passes after they have been confirmed for their booth space. Use the Registration code online to register your staff for the conference.
Please work with your internal contact responsible for your Tech·Ed Europe 2009 booth and sponsorship to obtain your registration code before you register.
Cancellations and Substitutions
Cancellations
- Cancellations received by 11.59 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) on Friday 23 October 2009 will be charged a fee of €125.00 + 19% VAT. Cancellations after this date, as well as 'no shows', will be liable for the FULL registration fee.
- Should Microsoft cancel Tech·Ed Europe 2009, paid registered delegates will be refunded their registration fee only. No other costs will be refunded.
- Cancellation requests may be completed online by visiting the registration site, entering your Windows Live™ ID OR username and password and selecting the option to cancel your registration from your Returning Services menu.
- No cancellations can be made online after 11.59 GMT on Friday 23 October.
- Click here for more information regarding hotel cancellation policies, a cancellation of the booked hotel room(s) free of charge is possible until 28 September 2009.
- Cancellations of travel and hotel reservations are the responsibility of the registrant.
