The Tech.Ed Live Meetings have now concluded! But it's not completely over as
a number of the sessions have been recorded, and where possible we've made the
powerpoint slides available for download. Just check the sessions below for
links and further details.
The Tech·Ed Live Meetings are repeats of some of the more popular sessions taking place this year, modified to fit within the Live Meeting format. To participate, you will need the live meeting client (Free install available here) and to register for the meeting. Sessions last up to an hour and usually contain a question and answer segment.

We've seen the flashy parts of Silverlight 3, but what happens when you want to take these features and make real applications. What makes this stuff tick? This session will dive in to topics such as: - - Pixel Shaders: Create extra special effects in your apps including cool transitions - Using 3D to create great visuals (like 3D tag clouds, 3D image fields) - Creating great online/offline applications, using real network detection and Dependency Injection - Use the same techniques to create great testable code (and Blendable code too!) - Creating Behaviors, Actions and Triggers - Full overview of Out of Browser features, including OOB events including altering application behaviour when OOB The Entire session will be interspersed with MVVM and similar patterns.
This session will dive in to topics such as:
- Producing Pixel Shaders – taking HLSL and making it available to Silverlight
- Using 3D to create great visuals (like 3D tag clouds, 3D image fields etc)
- Creating great online and offline applications, using real network detection and Dependency Injection, plus techniques to create great online and offline capable systems in Silverlight 3. You can use the same techniques to create great testable code (and Bendable code) too!
- Creating behaviours, actions and triggers
- Out of browser features – including OOB events (detaching, detached, new version of app available etc), altering application behaviours with OOB, including new components only in OOB mode so initial in-site download is not too large.
This entire session will be interspersed with MVVM and similar patterns.
